Today’s poem seems twisted. It makes me think of a Dr Phil show, where he’s telling the person how selfish they are for enabling bad behavior. I don’t know who I wrote this about, but shame on me!

I Have to be Silent This Time

I hear them on the wire
baffled by the sound
they don’t have a direction
and won’t reach out for help
I feel a sense of panic
my heart wants to explode
the only solace that I have
is that they do not seem to know
I won’t be the one who tells them
the limits of the sky
it has to be from someone else
I’d rather comfort them than see them cry
