Losing my Dad was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. Over the years, I have kept the hope of Heaven in my heart. I believe my Dad and I will see each other again in the next life because of our faith in Jesus.

You Gave Me That~~Poetry~

you called me on the telephone
during a different time, a different world
we spoke peacefully in the mornings
you always were so fond of me
I miss your voice and your honesty
your smile, your eyes, the way you were
the softness of your gentle voice
the love of squirrels, and birds, and cats
you gave me that, and I remain here
missing you and going on with life
but we will meet again- I won’t give up hope
the promise of Heaven through the cross
you made sure to share with me, His love
