I hope you are well! Thank you for visiting my poetry blog. I appreciate you being here!
Today’s poem is just silly. I was drinking some sparkling passionfruit water, which tasted and smelled like alcohol. I tried to keep drinking it but had to throw it out. I wrote a fun little poem about it.

My Drink Tastes Fermented
I wonder what’s wrong with it?
my drink tastes fermented
is it me, or is something wrong with it?
I’m scared to try it again
I can’t try and pretend to like it
next time when I buy sparkling water
I’ll get lemon or tangerine
maybe strawberry
never cherry or coconut
no pineapple either
or any mixture of the three
why am I so picky about sparkling water?
because it’s mostly all, I ever drink!
I may take a shot of orange juice or cranberry, but my days of drinking spirits have vanished since alcohol doesn’t mesh with mental meds
it says it right on the bottle
plus, I’m taking something that blocks my intake of dopamine,
so even if I were to drink, I’m not sure if id feel anything
I don’t want to risk it and see for myself
I would rather just not drink liquor at all, so I don’t have to worry about it
I wonder why my sparkling water tastes like alcohol?
I wonder what’s wrong with it?

Do you like sparkling water? I recently heard that it’s an American thing. I am not sure if that is true or not.
