Wishing For Me

I turn my head in all directions
looking for a safe place to hide
just for a moment
until I can face the world again- outside
talking myself into taking a chance
it’s been so long since I felt OK
hoping for a new circumstance
if there was ever even a day
I could feel comfortable in my own skin
maybe things would set in place
to feel right again
somehow, maybe some way
